Europe is affected by the dramatic events at the volcanic eruption in southern Iceland causing un-precedented travel disruptions across the globe.

The Eyjafjallajokull (eyea-falta-yurkult) volcanic eruption is taking place in an area of Iceland applying to UNESCO for Global Geopark status similar to the English Riviera Global Geopark.

If you want to learn more about the eruption then you might like to look at these websites - (use Google to translate from Icelandic).
