Ghost Show Storyteller
The Ghost Tour takes place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening from 4th July to 31st August plus 27th and 31st October 2018. The show lasts approximately 45 minutes in the caves. The aim of the production is to take advantage of the cave surroundings to tell Ghost Stories with the added element of ‘scares’ included for the visitor. During the 2 month production we receive between 4,000 – 5,000 visitors with a big proportion being foreign language students.
Outline of the job
The role of the Ghost Tour Storyteller is principally concerned with entertaining and leading visitors on guided tours around the cave system telling Ghost Stories. However, the job also involves working behind the scenes scaring visitors with sound effects, props and ‘jumping out’ on visitors.
The candidate will have good interpersonal skills and a confident approach to dealing with the public. The role involves constant interaction with the general public and foreign students and the candidate must be able to deliver consistent quality to varying number of visitors through the application of good preparation and planning.
The role requires the candidate to be able to work evening shifts Wednesday to Saturday and some occasional Tuesday evenings. Any existing holiday commitments should be noted on your application form and we will take these into consideration when determining your suitability for the role.
PLEASE NOTE: Minimum age for Ghost Show Storyteller is 18 years old.
