Devon has two major caving groups which welcome new members at any experience level. Both groups explore caves and mines within the Devon and Cornwall area and even further afield. You can find out more about the Plymouth Caving Group or Devon Spelaeological Society by visiting their websites. 

Alternatively, if you're not Devon based check out the British Caving Association website to find your local club. Caving is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with some amazing underground spaces, you might even see huge chambers, river passageways and beautiful formations. Caving will give you an opportunity to see places that are rarely seen by human eyes so if you're feeling adventurous why not give it a go. 

You can also try adventure caving for just one day, and book with some fantastic qualified instructers hassle free. 

Showcaves/mines 

If caving's not for you, don't worry! There are some fantastic places to see the underground world without getting hot and bothered. If you've visited Kents Cavern and would like to check out some other underground attractions near us then look below;
