Gold for Marketing & Innovation at South Devon Tourism Awards 2012

Caveman Cavog is a worldwide hit when it comes to Marketing and Innovation

Kents Cavern picked up the GOLD award for Marketing & Innovation at the Herald Express South Devon Tourism awards this year.  

The judges commented:

          "Kents Cavern is a prehistoric cave owned by the Powe family and operated as a visitor attractionsince 1880. It may be a Scheduled Ancient Monument but it has embraced technology and social media. Cavog the Caveman now blogs and tweets giving worldwide exposure for no marketing budget.

          "The cave uses has Facebook and Linkedin profiles to attract new audiences."

Kents Cavern owner Nick Powe said:

           "It is really good and very exciting to have won and it is all down to our caveman Cavog.

            "Our secret is we engage with our customers so if anybody tweets or gets in touch through Facebook or Tripadvisor we respond to them and get in touch straight away and we have lots of fun. Kents Cavern is not just a cave."

After the win Cavog tweeted: "It's official — I Rock."
