Firestone Kitchen
Great views, better food. No cave ticket required.
Most people know us for the caves, but Firestone Kitchen is a destination in it's own right. Perched over the beautiful Ilsham Valley, we're the local spot for a proper breakfast, a quick coffee or a long lunch on the balcony.
New Faces in the Kitchen.
You might recognise a few of the team. We've recently been joined by the chefs formerly at Occombe Farm Cafe, and they've bought their passion for local Devon produce with them. They've completely overhauled our menu, think less 'tourist cafe' and more 'foodie hangout'. We're talking proper brunch, seasonal specials and the kind of cakes you'll want to keep coming back for.
Why we're different.
- Parking's on us: Skip the Torquay parking hunt. We have plenty of free spaces, right on site.
- Dogs welcome: We're big dog people here. Bring your pup along; we're the perfect stop off for your Ilsham Valley walk.
- The terrace: If the suns out, there really isn't a better seat in the valley.
wALKING THE COAST PATH?
We're just a short detour from the South West Coast Path. Whether you need a caffeine hit to keep you going or a place to rest your legs for an hour, you're always welcome. No need to book! Just wander in.
The FAQ.
"Do I have to pay to get in?" Nope. The cafe is open to everyone. You don't need a cave tour ticket to eat here.
"What time do you stop serving?" We open at 9am for the early birds. The kitchen runs until 2:30pm, but we've got coffee, cake and snacks available until we close for the day.
"Is there a discount?" If you're a Kents Cavern member, tell us at the till and you'll get 10% off your bill everytime. All customers are also entitled to get a free breakfast on your birthday when showing suitable ID!
