Christmas might be in the air, but the story of our ancient caves still takes centre stage. During December, our daily guided tours continue as normal - only now, they’re set against a backdrop of beautiful festive lights and seasonal decorations that bring a new kind of magic to every chamber.
You’ll still uncover the incredible history and prehistoric wonders of Kents Cavern, just with a little extra sparkle.
🎄 December cave tours run daily (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day), with timings around our Santa in the Caves performances at weekends.
Visiting Kents Cavern is easy and comfortable for the whole family. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your day out in Torquay.
We have clean, modern toilet facilities located at the visitor centre. A dedicated baby changing area is available for parents and carers. An accessible toilet is also on site for guests with additional needs.
Our on-site Firestone Cafe serves up hot and cold drinks, snacks, light lunches, and sweet treats. Whether you're after a sit-down break or a quick takeaway option before your tour, we’ve got something for everyone. *subject to opening times.
Don’t forget to pop into our gift shop! You’ll find a wide range of themed gifts and souvenirs - perfect for little explorers or unique keepsakes from your visit. Our gift shop also sells our highly popular Cave-aged Cheddar. Mature cheddar cheese which is aged inside Kents Cavern itself! You'll even walk past it maturing as you go through the caves.
Parking is available for visitors just outside the entrance and is £3 for up to four hours. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your tour to allow time to park and check in. Please note, parking spaces can be limited during peak times - plan ahead if visiting on busy days. There is also free on-street parking available in the surrounding residential areas outside Kents Cavern.
