The temperature in the cave is a constant 14°C (58°F) every day of the year. On hot summer days the caves are the perfect place to cool off and in the winter, the caves are the warmest outdoor place to find.

Kents Cavern has concrete paths throughout, however sensible footwear is advised due to the nature of the cave environment.

Yes, more people choose to visit on a wet day but since tickets have to be prebooked, the number of tours available on wet days is the same as fine days.  Best to book an early or late afternoon tour for a less crowded experience.

We require a minimum of 2 people for a tour to operate. At quiet times and to avoid disappointment if you are visiting on your own please call us on 01803 215136 to check whether a tour will be definitely running at the time you will be visiting.

Yes Parking in the car park is a set fee of £3 for 4 hours. Payment can be made by card or cash.  At busy times the car park will fill up but there is unrestricted road side parking, free, within a short walking distance. Coach drivers should call in advance to reserve a space.

Yes, photos of the caves are allowed.  We do not, however, allow video recordings of the guided tours of the cave. Top tip; try using your camera without flash, we find it works better.
