About Cave Cinema
Cave Cinema is an award-winning event, which takes place at Kents Cavern every year. We screen cult classics, family favourites and spine-chilling horrors underground in our spectacular prehistoric setting.
With a fully stocked bar, and a cafe serving incredible Pizzas and snacks, our venue has everything you need to make your visit memorable. Films start at 18:30 and 21:00 and doors open 15 minutes beforehand. Free on-site parking is a special perk for our cinema guests.
What Do I Need To Know
-

-
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the atypical setting of the event.
The temperature in the cave is a constant 15°C (58°F) every day of the year. As you will be seated for the duration of the movie, we recommend wrapping up warm. Blankets are available to hire from us (limited quantity available), or you are welcome to bring your own. Please be aware, the caves are a natural environment and you may get dripped on from time-to-time!
Seating is unallocated, allowing you to choose your spot once inside the caves. While we cannot guarantee seats together, our team will do their best to accommodate group seating wherever possible.
Yes! Our on-site café offers a selection of hot and cold beverages, along with freshly made pizzas. You're welcome to bring any food or drinks purchased on-site into the cave to enjoy during your movie.
Cave Cinema welcomes guests of all ages. It generally is most suited to those aged 3+ due to the dark and chilly nature of the caves.
We do ask, if bringing children along, that should they become upset during the movie they are accompanied to the visitors centre so as not to disturb other visitors.
Age ratings do apply to movies so please ensure any children are the correct ages to be watching. We are unable to make exceptions due to film licensing.
No. As this is a special event, ticket price is admission to our pop-up cinema only. If you wish to see the rest of the cave please book for a guided tour seperately.
Yes. If for any reason you need to leave the cave you are welcome to do so and you are also welcome to re-enter. There are no scheduled intervals but if anyone needs toilet breaks or more refreshments you are welcome to leave the cave. Kents Cavern staff will be able to assist you.
Our deckchair weight limit is 17 stone. You are welcome to bring your own chair if needed - please let us know in advance of arrival
Our seating is deckchairs. Due to the slope the cinema is situated on this create a natural tierred seating arrangement. Younger visitors may find the deckchairs a bit low down, so we'd recomment bringing pillows or blankets to help keep them cosy and able to watch comfortably.
Should you require a different chair, you are welcome to bring your own. Please let us know in advance.
