About The Tour
Step into the world of Agatha Christie with this specialist cave tour, created in celebration of the International Agatha Christie Festival.
Discover the real-life inspiration behind Hampsley Cavern from The Man in the Brown Suit, as we explore the very chambers that once captured the imagination of a young Agatha.
Wander through the same passageways she once visited, and uncover how these ancient caves may have sparked her enduring fascination with archaeology, mystery, and the hidden stories beneath our feet!
Your tour lasts approximately an hour with time for questions with your guide.
Following your tour, you'll enjoy a traditional Devonshire cream tea in our cafe, just as Agatha would have enjoyed it (raspberry jam instead of strawberry!).

Our in-house Agatha Christie enthusiast is a passionate storyteller. With countless hours of research behind him, he brings Agatha’s remarkable life - and her little-known ties to Kents Cavern - to light.
Dressed in 1930s inspired attire, he offers a warm and knowledgeable welcome as he guides you through the mysteries beneath the surface, weaving together fact, fiction, and fascinating local history.

The guided tour lasts around an hour, where afterwards your cream tea will be served in the Firestone Kitchen. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your tour and allow for up to 2 hours on site.
Price: £27.95pp (includes tour & cream tea)
