We are very excited to share some more great news! We are finalists in the Torbay Weekly Naturally Inspiring Business Awards 2025. We are in the category for Tourism Business of the Year! Being shortlisted is a big honour for our team. We are proud to be recognised among other high achieving businesses in Torbay, and our contribution to tourism in the area.
A Milestone Moment for Our Team
A deep-rooted passion for tourism flows through every member of the team here at Kents Cavern. We understand the vital role we play in attracting visitors from across the UK and around the world, and we’re committed to making every experience truly unforgettable. We take immense pride in welcoming guests to the caves as they arrive full of intrigue and leave inspired by the incredible heritage that lies beneath the surface.
Approximately 16% of our visitors come from overseas, with the remainder made up of local residents and domestic tourists from across the UK. Our team is constantly seeking fresh, innovative ways to evolve and enhance what we offer. One of our latest initiatives is a joint venture with Graham from English Riviera Walking Tours, designed specifically for coach groups. This collaboration features two unique experiences: the English Riviera Heritage Tour and the Agatha Christie English Riviera Experience. Since its launch, this offering has already attracted significant attention from UK and international coach operators alike.
We’re excited about the potential of these packages to further boost tourism in the area, complementing our regular cave tours for the general public and groups. It’s an exciting time for Kents Cavern, and we’re proud to be playing a part in putting Torbay’s rich heritage on the global map.
ABOUT THE TORBAY BUSINESS AWARDS
The Torbay Weekly Naturally Inspiring Business Awards 2025 shine a spotlight on the exceptional achievements of businesses and individuals across the Bay. With a record-breaking number of over 100 entries this year, the awards celebrate innovation, resilience, and community impact across 12 diverse categories. Finalists were selected by a panel of esteemed judges, representing key sponsors and local business leaders. Winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony at the Riviera International Conference Centre on 11th June 2025, where standout contributions will be honoured. The Tourism Business of the Year category, in which Kents Cavern is a proud finalist, recognises those driving outstanding visitor experiences and playing a vital role in supporting Torbay’s thriving tourism economy.
